A nice fitting pocket knife..

  I have numerous pocket knives, and switch them out from time to time.  One I frequetly carry is comfortable in the pocket, an doesn't wear a couple holes in my jeans, as many do.  It is surprisingly reasonable in cost as well, and the only improvement that could be made IMO, would be a regular carbon steel blade..

  I am speaking of the Case 59L.  Mine happens to be one brought out about 30 years ago, commemorating race car driver, Bill Elliott..

   About 3 & 1/4 inches length overall.

Anyhow, I'm not a Case guru so I can't
testify to it

I have several,  but they're all older models
I have a couple of newer ones ( 20-25 years old)
and the fit and finish isn't up to par with the
older ones

I like the solid bone handled models that fit in your fist when closed with brass on each side sticking out...

  I think this was developed for it's light weight when carried in the pocket, ...plus I'm sure the composition handle saves cost.

  If you are a nCase fan...there aren't many genuine Case knives you can get for  pennies under a $20 bill..

   Ranger, I could be wrong on the model, but 59L is stamped on the obverse side of the choil.

Like I say, I'm no case expert

I did do some minor league collecting
some years ago, but having new relatively
expensive things sitting unused didn't sit
well with me.  I divested myself of quite a
few watches and cutlery and firearms the
last few years that I bought back when I
made lots of money.

Having good fitting useable cutlery and
firearms that aren't safe queens is more
satisfying to me than the collectable
things I had stashed away

 It is a very functional little knife...but itwould be much better, if it were perhaps a 10890  carbon blade. ...But I know a couple people who work for Case, and they say that is not likely to happen.

That looks like the xx changer I carry, minus the serrations and graphics. Wish it was carbon steel instead of stainless.

  Yes, after a search, I found that too. That is why I was not dogmatic concerning the model number..plus I stated the number from menory..which failed...   However, on second check..I see the blade stamp kis 059L rather than just 59L, if that makes a difference.

  But back to the knife..it is a very handy pocket knife.
