When I got out of the Army in 1963, I did about five years as a country and Pop DJ, and had and played in several country bands. I thought I knew country music. What am I missing here?

  As stated earlier, I am a "low tech" expert.  ..But my son set up one of those Alexis things, and I can tune in toThe Sons of the Pioneers, Marty
   Robbins, Gene Autry, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash or Jim Reeves, any time I want.

   I can also bring on bagpipes, martial music or Civil war ballads.  Not only that, but just this morning, I had her read me Lincoln's Gettysburg address   
    and reiterate Admiral Perry's words at his victory in the Battle of Lake Erie..  Quite useful, if used judiciously.

  Yes Alexis can eaves drop, but since I live alone..she won't hear a thing worth listening to.  Besides, if I want privacy, I can unplug or bag her up...

I don't really utilize any high tech electronics
or much of anything that wasn't available decades
ago. Mainly this thing I'm holding now and
visiting GBOR on, and I didn't buy it.
My oldest niece felt sorry for me and got it
for me with her plan for no extra.
My old unit was still functional and useful,
but it was obsoleted when the networks(?)
were changed up to better serve the newer
generation smartphones/21st century crutch.
That, and it's my understanding that the old
unit I was using can't be eavesdropped on
like this one can
