The indians had white man's arms , so if the wonder tools were there for the soldiers , they probably would have been there for the Indians.

Custer did not take along the Gatling Guns he had available, he is responsible for the failure, no one else.

American Indians rarely gather in fighting groups , i.e. multiple nations; they did that day, -- at that, had the Indians used the European long bow it would have been nastier.
In Eruope a long-bow man, had to prove they could hit a target butt at 220-300 yards, depending on which military person set-up the range.

The size of a longbow target butt can vary, but here are some examples:

Traditional longbow target butt: The target front was about 7 ft (2.1 m) high, 4 ft (1.2 m) wide at the bottom, and 1 ft 4 in (0.4 m) wide at the top. The butt was 9 ft (2.7 m) long behind the front and tapered into the ground. The target face was a small piece of cloth or pasteboard disk about 4 in (10 cm) in diameter.

So U.S. settlers should be glad Indians did not have Long-Bows.

Hey! How about biological warfare? Oh! Wait a minute, we already actually did that. I can almost hear it now. “ I’m from the government and I’m here to help “ have some nice blankets...

The British started this before the American revolution.  Don't know if the Americans actually did this.  The damage was already done.  90% of American indians died from white man's disease even before we crossed the Appalachians and started west.  Not just the Brits, but the French and Spanish brought childhood diseases that killed adult Indians.  All Indian deaths were not from bullets.

Although the loss of lives among the Indians was high, due to diseases imported from Europe, I doubt it was near 90%, or the way west from
the Appalachains would have been much easier.

Yes, It has been charged that Lord Amherst once suggested that Inmdians be given blankets retrieved from smallpox victims.  Some say he did others say he did not follow through.

historically that is  under debate.  I woudn't pronounce either way, since Lord Amherst and the Indians both have their partisans..

Factually, it appears that biological warfare, whether accidental or intentional, was utilized by many opponents.  For example, many believe that Christopher Columbus' crew was given that extra gift, by the friendly natives of the "new world"..

If so, I would consider it more accidental, rather than intentional... but who knows..

  From the article:

"The Columbian hypothesis. This very popular hypothesis states that the navigators in Columbus fleet would have brought the affliction on their return form the New World in 1493 [3,12]. This theory is supported by documents belonging to Fernandez de Oviedo and Ruy Diaz de Isla, two physicians with Spanish origins who were present at the moment when Christopher Columbus returned from America."
