The Carters seemed decent in ntheir personal life, and I think Jimmy was basically honest..although hapless as president.
I know some folks who may be good at design but can't fix a lawnmower, or draw a picture of a tree. Jimmy was obviously good at raising
peanuts, but way beyond his competence level in the White House.
His decency.. I had a difficult time understanding how a Baptist Sunday school teacher could endorse the practice of abortion...
Butthen, looking up the particulars of the Plains GA Baptist church, I see they are not southern Baptist, Bible Baptist or independent
Baptist....but American Baptist, having parted with the SBC about 1977.
May as well be Episcopal or Anglican... or the now leftist half of the SBC. ..But that is only my $ .02, .and may not concern others.
