Why would you think that? They arrested them. Surely by now you've learned  that thats where the police officers job ends, and the prosecutor takes over. Its been like that for many years.

 My guess, family will be charged with some minor offense, nothing major, and release the boy back to them with a stern warning. Legal system in this country is broke, and things will get worse. Best thing that boy could do, is get out of that house, ASAP. Try to find a safe house and hide. This is a religion that believe's a man can stone his wife to death, if he thinks she cheated on him. Wish him all the luck, hope we don't hear about his demise in the coming month.
