I hope all at GBOR have a
safe and merry Christmas

A MERRY and BLESSED CHRISTMAS you and to all, and their families  who spend time exchanging views here.
It has been a joyful season this  year for no special reason.

Oddly, I did some shopping in places I had not been in , for years for some, and being out in the stores with Christmas Shoppers brought back a feeling of joy of doing that I used to have decades back, while shopping for loved ones.

Made a Christmas Eve supper of beef roast, potatoes and carrots in a roaster we ate before going to Church; now we are watching the Christmas Concerts on PBS.
My Father loved to watch those on Christmas Eve before going to the Candle Light Service at night.

Raining hard enough here, I decided that I will not catch a Candle Light service this year, although  one held at 10 or 11 P.M. , with real candles, are getting hard to find.
Local newspaper used to put out a shopper with all the Christmas Services, but that stopped a few years back.

Heading out to a Casino tomorrow for Christmas Dinner, down by Morton , Minn. The old family get togethers are getting to be a rarity.
Not much family left.
I exchanged gifts with my Brother last week at home, partly for his Dec. 12th birthday.
We will have a Christmas gift exchange with the other half's niece next week as they are now down in Illinois celebrating with her Husband's Mother.
Last time I cooked a Christmas Dinner at home was three years ago when a friend, my brother and cousins came over shortly before Christmas and I had cooked a genuine dinner.

Well MERRY CHRISTMAS and GODSPEED  to one and all this Joyus season. 8) 8) 8)

MERRY CHRISTmas to one and all.

I'll be smoking a huge turkey tomorrow for our meal. We'll have dressing, cranberry sauce and rolls to go with it. Prolly gonna eat way too much cuz it's gonna be so good.

We'll go to Matt's tomorrow to take little Maya her gift, only one came in but according to Matt it is the one she has really been wanting the most. Maybe the other will be here in time for her birthday which I think is in February a month before mine in March.

Mine is in March also.  I'm putting ribs on the smoker in the morning. About 3 hrs with mesquite, then about 2 hours of foil and 275 degrees.

Merry Christmas everyone. Will be getting together with my sons and their families, at my brothers place with his family. Will be over 20 of us.  Having turkey, ham, and everything else that goes with that. will definitely eat to much, and that is even with trying to save room for pie and cookies.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Both boys were here, I did a nice rack of ribs in the smoker. Going to relax and take it easy.
