60 MPH Winds & Snow
« on: January 09, 2024, 12:27:47 AM »
Are over. Yesterday I fed cattle early and got out while I could. The ranch got a lot of rain over the last few days then the ground frozen, then it got sloppy.
As predicted, the wind shifted back to outta the NW with it came snow, 40 to 60 mph winds, and a temperature drop down to 19 degrees, which lasted for the rest of the day, and most of the night.
I'll try to find 3 really early calves (3 weeks old) today and see how they did.

Bad gusts and razor edge cold
winds here.
Didn't lose very much as it passed
there except the airborne snowcones.
Lots of broken tree limbs to gather.
Thankfully, that's all the damage that
I've seen.
( I did pray for the bad to pass over)

Hope yall find the baby beeves in fine condition
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

Fed cattle this morning. The three babies came in with the momma cows.
