We had that front go through here a couple days ago. Two days with 50 mph wind gusts, and cold air moved in. Its single digits here this morning, although we didn't get very much snow with it. I hope everyone of the leftists that yammer about global warming gets plenty of frigid temps and lots of snow.  Wonder how their EV's are performing in these temps.

It was the wind speeds... Much of the snow that fell was wind blown so much that it turned closer to ice crystals , rather than snowflakes.

Out at the end of my driveway, the usual ridge of snow left by the snowplow, has turned to chunks of dirty ice..

We got lucky, I guess, as the snow got pushed up into Michigan, sorry Lloyd, so we didn't get much. Left the gun show in Wilmington, down close to Cincinnati yesterday, was only about 4 degree's. But the roads back north were clean. 70-75mph all the way back. The high for the rest of this week is between 15-20 degrees each day.
We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!!Remember(12/7/41)(9/11/01) gypsyman

Two Below right now; we had three days where the temp never rose to zero.
Actually normal January weather  a bit on the mild side.
It did hit double digit sub-zero but not very far.

Only , at most, 3 inches of very light snow; I blew snow Sat. and Sunday and with the wind you blew it only one direction unless you wanted to eat the snow you blew.
I was heading back up North Sat. but when I went to put gasoline in the car, with the wind you could not see car headlights 300 feet in front of you, so I waited till Sunday.

I wish we had a lot more snow on the ground as sub-zero on bare , or ground with less than five inches will drive the frost down deeper into the soil.
Next week looks to be above average but February looks to be nippy.

Some of yall should have gotten
some of that frozen precipitation
the last few days.
Lots of rain and thunder here.
NOAA weather radar showed
a good bit of snow in the Texas
and OK ph's

Still colder than I care for today
with a wind out of the NW
Sun finally broke through, but it's
still barely 50°F, and a cold breeze

snows about gone. or should i say other than that one storm it never came. usually 4 feet of snow in my front yard about now and lake superior is half frozen over. right now my front yard has a dusting and for the first time in recorded history munising bay doesnt have a lick of ice. this winter isnt just a low snow year. weve probably got a .10 of the snow that was gotten on the next easiest winter. more like a mild winter in ohio. i absolutely love it but there may be consequences. it will mean farmers will start with much drier planting seasons and if it becomes the norm the tourists that come up for our perfect summer season wont go running back south. harsh winters have always kept the populations low and the rif raft out of here. we  could still get hit but basically there is only one month of winter left and usually about now it starts winding down. heres some contrast. last year was about an average winter. ive got a little 4cys diesel tractor for blowing snow. last year it burned 14 gallons of fuel 16 the year before. this year so far id guess by looking in the tank ive used about a gallon

Well Winter has returned in the Great White North.
Drove sixty miles up to Brainerd yesterday in a snow storm, the kind where visibility is limited to a quarter mile or less at times.
The last thirty miles up were not bad as they had little to no snow from Little Falls on.

Saw one car in the ditch after the wire/posts stopped it from going into the other lane on the way up and another upside down in the ditch on the way home at night.
From Rice, Mn, South on the way home the road was slick.
By the time we hit the suburbs of St. Cloud, the inner lane was mostly covered with iced snow.
I still scooted along at a goodly pace as traffic was low both ways most of the time.

We went to Sharon's Niece's place for a Valentines steak dinner.
Got off to a bit late start, as the cable telephone/internet went bad and hooking up the new modem became pain in the arse as the office still had the old one listed as being used so I could not log in.
At that the system is being changed so they changed out-door box guts because they were told to.
First guy arrived at One Thirty P.M. and , now three,  guys were still dickering around when we left at Four TwentyFive P.M. in a true snow storm.
All things considered it was still an enjoyable Valentines Day.

I went home and back Sat.-Sunday and stopped at the Red Rooster Grocery store in Dassel , Mn; one of the VERY rare old school, very small town super markets, at least by 1960 store size standards, that is still around.
Found a dozen very nice, in perfect bloom stage, Red Roses for 18 dollars.
The other half is very happy.

It has been a very good week , and now I will go outside and shovel, approx. 3 inches of snow, for only the third time all winter.
Happy Flag Day of Canada
