. . .There is no telling what is in this country that we don't know about.
One thing I haven't seen until recently is
the laser " death ray" that they're using to
shoot down hostile drones.
Years ago that thing was written up in
several fictional novels about WWIII and
such. That was back around when a laser
was a big unwieldy desk-sized machine in
a laboratory with very expensive ruby rods
and lenses and such. Just in the last few
decades we've had inexpensive laser gun
sights and a laser pointer you can buy for
a dollar at the dollar store, and such as that.
I've always thought that there is a weapon
similar to a plasma cutter that can project
a beam of hot destructive death for a long
distance that was developed some time back.
If you've never used one, the plasma cutter
anyone can buy to use in fabrication, etc.
will cut through anything. If you're not careful,
it'll take a finger right off with zero effort.
I've seen salvage yards cutting off repair
panels from vehicles and cut right through
a piece of automotive glass.
Yeah, the military has " death rays "
Probably every manner of disease
inducing gas/ aerosol contagion
as well.
It's not impossible
