Sad world these days
« on: January 31, 2024, 05:13:41 PM »
A young un was asking about "rice factories "
"Huh ?"
"You know,  a rice factory, where they make rice ?"
" Uh . . . . rice isn't manufactured kiddo,  it's
grown on a rice farm, like wheat or corn or
any other crop . . . "
Puzzled, almost contemptible look follows

What the blankety blanking eff do they
teach in school now besides politically
correct bs ?

I'd bet there would be a lot more vegetarians if some of the younger generations actually had to gut, skin and butcher what they had to eat.
We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!!Remember(12/7/41)(9/11/01) gypsyman

Things like that should be mandatory in every High School

Actually, while we were interim pastors at an Eskimo village a few years ago, they did exactly that at the local High School. Went over well, the kids and parents all thought it was important.

Years ago several of us were making
our way south to fish the gas and oil
rigs, and it was time to stop for a bite
and refuel, and we met with one of the
party's relative at a restaurant. The
relative was very PC vegan and was
critical of our hamburgers and the
fishing trip etc.
What if one of those fish hooked you
in the mouth and dragged you underwater?
And so on
I had to remind him that regardless of
what you do, some something dies.
You have to end a plant's life to eat it.
Eating vegetables is eating the plant's
children. That tomato is the tomato
plant's babies with the seeds for other
tomato plants inside of it. Every time
you urinate or defecate, you're poisoning
some living something with your body
waste. Every breath you draw deprives
another living thing of air they also need.
The only way to do zero harm is to seal
all body orifices and sever your wrists
and neck arteries and your blood and
rotting carcass will help feed scavenger
animals and insects and help fertilize
the earth. If you shoot yourself or poison
yourself, it will contaminate the soil
around your body.

I don't think he was pleased with the
narrative

People have become so detached it's scary

Yeah

Sometimes the rainbows and unicorn
farts crowd gets to people despite
any civilized restraint
Life is and has always been hard and
unfair. Everything isn't supposed to be
totally equal and fluffy and cozy
