Guess you're not aware that in 2008 he quit the democratic party, and registered as an independent. Then when other stars refused, he performed at Trumps inauguration.

Toby Keith was a real unapologetic, politically incorrect patriot.

A lot of people used to vote Democrat.  Last time I voted Democrat was in the 1970's for a conservative governor that changed to Republican later.  Alabama was once 99% Democrat until Reagan came along, and Dems started getting more leftist.
