Picked up a Ruger 10/22, with a full manlicher stock...
Haven't seen one before...dunno when or how many were made..
Shot it Saturday, really like it.

Hard to go wrong with one of those
if you can find a used one that
somebody hasn't diddled with

There's a regular Ruger Owner's Forum
that's Ruger only that probably can give
any history you might look for.
I'm not a member, I just recall seeing
it while looking through a similar Marlin
forum for information I wanted

I bought one at a farm supply store (Farm & Fleet) about 10 or 12 years ago.  I used it to make a custom, with heavy barrel etc, so gave the stock to
my gunsmith grandson.  I don't know what he did with it, or if he still has it.

The stock was not walnut, but some kind of hardwood.  Oh yes, 3-4 years later, i gave him the custom rifle I built, because I just wanted to go
    through the construction process.

Got mine from Bud's at least ten years ago I'd guess. Mine has the black and gray laminate stock. They had them with that and also nice walnut. I wanted both but only got the laminate one. It's the only Ruger 10-22 I've ever owned.
