I'm sure that most of the members
have a supply of ammunition
set aside for their use.
If you don't do so already, it'd be a good
idea to regularly check everything
out and make sure your stores
are in good shape.
Most of what I have is stored in
the manner that the manufacturers
recommend, and some other is
packed away to be moisture and
temperature resistant. Some
vacuum packed, heavily wrapped
etc..
I had a half a dozen full speedloaders
packed away in a sealed up plastic
box with desiccants.
I'd forgot about it until I was looking
for something else and came across
it. I'm glad I did, because it wasn't in
as good a shape as I would have liked.
Nothing was corroded or anything, but
there was some tarnish and the
speedloaders didn't release like they
should have. Took a little extra force
to move the knobs, but they did move.
Everything cleaned up just fine, but
if I'd had to use them for some
emergency they wouldn't have worked
as well as intended.
Check out everything regularly to
make sure what you have set aside
will serve as intended
