sad times

all the fur is gone
the shed is trashed
time to clean traps and put em away
boards needing put up
 man i hate to  do all that lol
 miss having that fur hanging in the shed even if it was just a little bit
can't go in and sit and look now.

Tony, you now get to enjoy getting the trap shed back in order.Cleaning sorting,dipping ,organizing--man that doesn't sound half bad.I have to get all my 330s ready to dip in the next few days,warm weather is upon us.Time to get set for spring beavering.

Boggy you better wax em suckers..there ain't enough time for the gasoline smell to go away and the oil slick will kill ya :-D   RdFx waxes his and he still has MOST of his faculties :)  :)  :)

Wacky , I NEVER use gasoline with dip.Coleman fuel is the way to go,quock dryout and odorless in short order.Did you say Lee has all his faculties???????????????

wish we had spring beavering here tom would make the wait shorter lol
coleman fuel is the only way to go for dipping, the wife can't smell it after just 2 or 3 days so aint no critter going to smell it

Well Bog we all know you hole up in winter while Real bvr trappers with super faaaast wax 330s  whack bvrs.   I dont recommend waxing to conibears to new trappers.  I learned to  do it  as soon as conibears came out and it isnt anything to do without proper knowledge...  .  Now we know Bog tried it once during the winter so thats the reason he stays in his cabin and crochets. :twisted: . The faculty members of the fur school  said that Bog does create a neat picture of the OLD TIMER setting around the pot belly stove smoking his cigs and whittling cedar shakes and  mumbling something bout falling thru ice with 330 clamped to his arm... Heck  Bogs' Mrs brings him  his coffee and  keeps an eye out on him so he doesnt wander off to play with his duke rat traps hanging outside the cabin porch :-D

Cotton,  I think that was a profoundly beautiful and moving poem,  about your old fur shed being empty and a sad place.  A natural born author you are.  An author and a poet.   Good luck next year.   Knife

I guess I don't know what a "quock dryout" is but I do know that Coleman fuel is not white gasoline but rather a close relative of naptha.  These types of misnomers have and will cause problems where ever they arise.

Hey RdFx remember this one, gasoline + dip is a good lure for old crotchity swedes in early spring. heh heh heh

Yeppers Wacky, as you can see The Old Swede is busy supervising  his wonderful wife dipping of his 330s in the famous Coleman fuel  (naptha)  at local  chem plant .  With breaks of course for Bogs wonderful wife to get him a cup of coffee for him to sip as he whittles dem ole muskrat shakes  :D   stir de pot some   :wink:
