Ruger #1B Scope mounts
« on: March 26, 2004, 12:53:34 AM »
I have a ruger 1b, and the scope mounts don't allow for the proper eye relief. I found an offset ring online, made by leupold. I've lost the link and can't find them available.
Has anyone tried these type rings? How solid are they? Will they handle the heavy recoil of a .300 weatherby.
If you know of a dealer please let me know.
Thanks Ken

Brownells carries extended rings for the No. 1 that helped my eye relief so it was acceptable. Brings the scope back about 1/2" which is probably all you need. I have them on 7RM and pound out 175's which are not as bad as the 300 Weatherby but still holds up well.
