Question on gun transportation

 I recently bought a small motor home so I can go up too New England to visit the wife’s brothers who are both
not doing to well.
 I bought it so I can take the dog he just wouldn’t make a flight along with that I will be going to the Keys as many times as, The Good Lord gives me the health.
 On to the carrying a rifle, shotgun, or handgun. I will be traveling through some of the biggest anti 2nd states
I’ve been told the motor home is MY Home and that gives me federal rights to have them to protect my wife and property.
  What do any of you know ?

I really don’t want to call every state I plan to drive through !
Or is it worth a call to the ATF which from past weren’t very well accepted nor Friendly

Can't speak to it's validity, but I believe the NRA has a publication out that answers those kinds of questions. Worth checking out.

Shotguns are more tolerated than AR type rifles or handguns. Some states in the NE you want to avoid at all costs with handguns even in a motor home. Such as NJ, NYC, Massachusetts.

I'd agree.
From what interaction I've had with
law enforcement/game wardens, I'd
have to say that whatever regulations
would be interpreted by the individual
officer whether that's legal or not.
I've had one try to tell me that guns
I've had were too short and illegal
when they measured it in the wrong
way. ( the very reason my last
shortened shotgun was at 20 inches
to avoid any argument)

Even Slo Joe the shmoe says " . .get
a shotgun.  . "

there's pinheads everywhere you go.
Too many move from urban areas to
smaller outlying towns for the "small town
charm" and bring their ideology and many
times their delinquent kids to "get junior
