Picked our first tomatoes today and looking forward to a BLT tomorrow. Between early blight and deer getting through the fence I was starting to wonder if we would have any home grown maters at all.

Congratulations
My 1st string crapped out altogether.
The 2nd string limped along and
finally overcame and I have small fruits
and a gazillion blossoms ( so far- I don't
claim a success until I have a ripe
tomato in hand ready to wash and eat)
and the 3rd and final attempts are roughly
12-18 inches tall.
Finally got a few beans to sprout and
grow. That remains to be seen.
Planted some chance cantaloupes.
We'll see about those.
I'm envious of your mater. There's
absolutely no comparison of store
bought and a tomato a few minutes
fresh off the vine. None
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

I have some small green maters but they are a long way from ripe. I've picked a few banana peppers and cow horn peppers and have lots of tiny little bell peppers coming a long. A couple of them are way ahead of the others.

I'll likely have bells to pick before end of this month and a lot more banana and cow horn peppers this month. Might be July on my first mater tho. My onions so far are a total flop, they are gonna make it.

Tomatoes and Squash are the only two things still growing in my garden.

Picked well over a dozen Tomatoes last week and should get at least another two dozen , of various varieties before season ending cold hits middle of next week.
Goat Bag tomato gave/gives HUGE roma style tomatoes and Black Beauty, said to be the tastiest lived up to its name.

Squash was a last minute after thought and it spread like wild fire giving me at least 7 squash. 8)
