Have you ever wondered how the US Marines earned second line of their anthem?  There is an exciting story behind that line..

"To the shores of Tripoli"...  Perhaps you would like to relate it to your grandchildren.  Not only will you appear bright to them,
but you can build "pride in America"..in their hearts.

On the other hand, if you could not care less..just click on past..

The first line of the Marines hymn, speaks of the  "The halls of Montezuma"..  That was during the Mexican/American war of 1849.

In preparation, the Marines first captured Chapaultepec castle...which was called "the halls of Montezuma.

Now on to the Barbary pirates, and how Pres Jefferson handled the problem..  This man is very well informed and erudite enough to make
    the story very entertaining...

Caution: ..Some coarse language..         Below; Stephen Decatur, killing pirates.

If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)
