Tanks are at a juncture now, where we have to decide just how much armor, power and electronic detection/destruction devices trhay can carry..
I could be wrong, but I look for the truly advanced designs to come in a smaller, lighter, package..
We have to consider what the infrastructure of any potential battlefield country can possibly carry.. I tend to think of any breakthrough in armored
warfare must come in a new as yet undeveloped, lighter armor..and a more devastating round or ray, coming from a lighter launching assembly.
I am looking toward some type of laser or missile..being fired by a much lighter, faster tank.
