I have one of the 1879 Reichsrevolvers that Dad brought back from Germany.  Wrote to P O Ackley to get reloading info.  Use cut down 44 Special brass and a Lee 215 44 bullet.  At about 100 yards the bullet entering the woods sounds like someone is hitting the trees with a large hammer.  A real hoot.  My wife really enjoys shooting it, but prefers a 380 to a 9mm because of recoil.

Do you shoot black powder, or new replacement for said same, or smokeless powder?

Have used Unique and black.  Don't like the cleanup after black.
