Perhaps God is not done with America yet...
« on: July 16, 2024, 01:03:40 AM »
I personally believe that we saw Him move last Saturday, when he shifted the bullet or the head by about a half inch..

Indeed God does move in the affairs of men..  " And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding."  (Daniel 2:21)

I think, my opinion, that all the misery this country and the world for hat matter, is a direct act of God to wake up the commatose people of faith who like a frog in a pot of water , did not see they were heading for a slow but permanent fate.

My dad always said I was a hard learner, but those lessons learned the hard way , are NEVER forgotten.

or it could of been nothing more than a fluke .

Could be, but it bears the hallmarks of divine intervention..  The Bible tells us that God indeed, dose interfere in the affairs of men..(Dan 4:17 & 32)

The plagues that attacked the Egyptians ..frogs, grasshoppers ..along with the plague which took down the first born of Egypt..were not a "coincidence"..nor was the parting of thew Red Sea..so Moses could lead the Hebrews through.

Godeon did not beat the entire Midianite army with just 300 troops..purely by superior tactics..

Worldly cases of divine intervention..  The providential victory over the Spanish Armada...for one..  Then there was the story of the Pilgrims in 1620..  Missing their intended destination ..(Virginia), the Pilgrims settled at a place where wa great freshwater creek dumped into the Atlantic, they settled there, at a place to be later called Plimouth..
Little did they know, they landed at the only place for hundreds of miles, where they would not be thrown right back in the ocean by hostiles.
Why no hostiles?  ..Because the tribe occupying that given location had died off from a pandemic..

The Pilgrims started of badly there, no food and being winter, little forage available.  They needed help badly..that is when God sent Squanto.. the
sole survivor of that pandemic..and NO language barrier, since he had already spent some time in England, so conversation was available..

You can say "fluke' but indeed,  "God deals in the affairs of man".   " A man's heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.  (Prov 16:9)

You can add the fog and cloud cover for Washington's troops to escape New York.  Also, the French fleet arrived at Yorktown before the Brit's reinforcements from New York because of bad weather at New York.  Thus allowing Cornwallis to surrender at Yorktown.

Lot's of others.

Flukes have a cause.

Lot's of others.

Right on DD...a great example..  George Washington while involved in the Battle of the Monongahela..south of Ft Duquesne (Pittsburg),
while riding in front of his troops..encouraging and steadying them..had two horses shot form under him..and 4 holes shot through his coat..

He was not injured himself.  This was of course, when he was serving in the French and Indian War..  God was of course, well aware that He would
need Washington in the coming American revolution..

Then, there was King Sennacherib of Assyria, who laid seige to Jerusalem in 701 BC.  One night as the end of Jewish resistance was in sight..Sennacherib's army was struck with something that killed 185,000 of his troops.. Sennacherib was obliged to withdraw, and go home..
It is recorded in secular history...scripture says an angel struck Sennacherib's army.

Then there was the story of the four lepers..
The story of the four lepers is told in the Bible in 2 Kings 7:3-20, which describes four lepers who visit the camp of the Arameans. The lepers decide to risk everything and visit the enemy camp, and when they arrive, the camp is empty. The enemy had fled in the night, frightened by a loud sound from God.

Perhaps divine interventions occur far more often than "flukes' or "coincidences"..

I think there is a spiritual reawakening in our country and my prayers are that it gains ground here and spreads across the world.

Because divine intervention does happen, that of course doesn't mean that every anomaly that happens is divine intervention.  Sometimes Satan
can create  such anomalies..after all, he is the "prince of the power of the air"..

One can often by examining each situation, decide whether it is more likely the work of God or the devil...

Could Satan have had  a grudge against that little Amish girl?

"2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:"  (Eph 2:2)

KJV Ecclesiastes 9:11
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.""

...And those studying at any quality seminary, are taught to consider the write and his frame of mind at the time..

Solomon, was basically speaking of his own experience.. He asked for and received great wisdom..but even the most wise can fail at times.

For instance..for him to take on 700 wives and 300 concubines, must have required leaving his wisdom behind, at some point, and for some time..

Solomon wrote of His personal failings..so as to warn others, not to fall into the same traps.
