45 Shield Holster
« on: September 12, 2024, 12:56:20 PM »
In need of a good IWB holster for a 45 Shield (3.3”). Any recommendations? Don’t know why companies provide for 9mm/40 cal but not 45. A lot of 45’s being sold.

Don't all Shields take same holster? I think they do but am not positive. I have several different holsters for my Shields, they say the Shield Plus fits same as regular Shield. One leather holster does but a plastic one not so well. I have modified it a bit and it seems to work OK with the Plus.

I carry my EZ mostly these days tho as I just don't have the hand strength to function the slide on the others. Whenever I get a roundtuit I'm gonna pick up an Equalizer which is the EZ with double stack mag, also supposed to fit the EZ holsters I have.

I think Lloyd has a .45acp Shield so he would be the one to ask about the holsters to be sure.

The Shield .45 is slightly larger than the Shield 9mm so it does take a different holster.

Thanks Lloyd, those really are some cost savers. I have found a few out there online, but they sure are proud of ‘em.

I have an Urban Carry lock leather I bought for my 9mm Shield, and my .45 Shield fits fine in it. Its now $80.  I bet most leather holsters will fit any of the shields just fine, but a Kydex holster made for the 9mm probably wouldn't fit the .45 that well.
