Linebaugh Caliber 5 shooters
« on: January 30, 2025, 01:59:35 PM »

I spoke with Lee Jurras more than once on the telephone, and this is the John Linebaugh I remember meeting.

I never met John Taffin but I did meet Reeder and Forkin; how old they are in this picture just amazes me.

also had the 5.5 500 and 475 that went down the road and i lost the pics when i changed lap tops. also a 4 5/8s 475 and a 5.5 454 freedom arms guns that are now gone. lost all the pics of my FA clements, forkin and gallager guns. only ones i still have are a 4 5/8s vaquero 45 colt thats round butted and case hardened and a 4in round butted ruger old model 357 frame 44 special thats round butted and case hardened both clements guns. i knew all those guys. met them all including taffin whos a great guy and the only one i ever met there that was a bit arrogant and thats troy pearse. bob baker was another super intelligent but down to earth guy like John. i was fortunate to have a best friend that was also johns best friends so the typical 2 year plus wait for a gun was more like 6 months for me. i should never have sold the ones i did. toward the end my 1800 dollar guns had gone up to 4k and people were standing in line for them at those prices. id bet it would be name my price now. they were probably a better long term investment than gold
