Just because our current administration and Google maps wants to call it the Gulf of America doesn't require the rest of the world to follow along.  Trump screaming that it should be called the Gulf of America is along the same lines as multiple pronouns for confused social warriors.

  It doesn't matter if "the rest of the world follows along"..  President Trumpo's design will likely work...and I hope it does !

  Perhaps you recall, Sleepy Joe, in one of his last acts, outlawed drilling for petroleum in the Gulf of Mrexico.

   ...An effort to circumvent Joe's fit of anger...renaming the area will reopen drilling in that location..a location that should never been put off limits.

  Personally, although the Gulf of America is likely more correct, they can call it the "Gulf of Poland" for all I care, just so were can drill
    to "Make America Great Again" !

I am glad you clarified the reasoning behind this as many don’t get it. I already knew the reasoning due to previous diligence…

I think this is one of the silly things Trump does, because he can. rather like - I'm taking my ball and going home -  spiel spoiled kids used if they did not get their way.

It IS, by definition of the word, more of a gulf of Mexico than the U.S.
Now Mexico should start using the common language tile of - U.S. - as its official name is -  UNITED MEXICAN STATES. ;D

Well, he didn’t name it the ‘Gulf of the United States’. Gulf of America includes Mexico…as in North America. Why he wants this, no idea.

It is hard to believe that any person smart enough to be a judge would also be smart enough to think that changing Mexico to America changes how the law applies to it. It is kind of like calling an oak tree a rose would make it a rose.

  ..Nothing...it appears they have earned the name ...for the present anyway !  Once they catch onto MAGA, then perhaps they can change the name to something like.. NEW ENLIGHTENMENT ! ;)  ;D

Reporters? Banned from White House for not calling it the gulf of America, which is its name… To bad we can’t ban those ingrates here that act like spoiled brats also :)
