CCI does it again ?

    For rimfire fans; it looks like CCI has come out with feasible coyote round in .22 magnum...

   Hmmmm.... 46 grains, still holding to the 40 grain velocity, and segmented to boot !

Never used one on anything alive but I just can't get behind this segmented HP design that CCI seems to like. I think I have some of their segmented HP .22LR ammo but it's just for shooting at steel targets so I don't care if it's segmented. Seems counter productive to penetration which I put more stock in.

I couldn't find a test of the 22 mag segmented, but in the 22 LR segmented rounds they make quite a difference, if you want explosive action,
   rather than deep penetration.

 Here, Buffalo does a test of Quiet LRs at 710 fps, showing how the segmented acts even at  that low speed.

     Some saythe CCI +V, with it's gaping hollowpoint, has a similar effect.
