Another old school pistoler joins the shooters in the sky.
Makes quite sad, as I never met him but talked to him online twenty some years ago.

There are not many left from the days I was heavily into pistols; I have seen pictures of some of the gents I met, or spoke to, twenty tp thirty years ago and and I am not ready for how time has aged them.
Way back in the eighties to oughts, there was a fair number of pistol smiths who would modify most any revolver you brought to them; most now will only work on certain frames.
I wonder if there are any out ther now.

Jack Huntington is the only one I know of now.

yup the pistol artists are all but gone. thought dustin might take over for his dad but it was just to much hastle from unfinished projects from his dad that people thought he should finish for free so he washed his hands of all of it. sad because he just might have been more talented than his father was.

Taffin was 85, and lived a good life. His past writings in gun magazines are surely missed. Used to love to read articles in gun magazines written by guys that knew what they were talking about. I was a long time subscriber to Shooting times, and often picked up other shooting magazines from news stands.

Another person that died just a few days ago at 66 years old, is Craig Woffley. He was an offensive lineman for the Steelers from 80 to 89. He was a very good Christian man, and was going to lead our Church worship service in April. I did get to meet him a year ago when he spoke at our church men's breakfast. Was a very humble man.
