....and what makes you think our SS benefits will be cut? Trump is only cutting the heap of waste and fraud within the Ponzi scheme called Social Security. Really, you need to quit listening to the alphabet news networks.

DDZ: I do not listen to any news networks nor do I watch TV. I jumped to  the conclusion that SS benefits would be affected along with all of the other cuts

The only cuts that I have heard concerning social security is that President Trump wants to make the benefit tax free.  That would be a great windfall for us retired folks.  Now if we could get the same action on our IRAs--SUPER!!  And what the heck--lets wrap it up and make our pensions tax free too.  Maybe then we could afford our out of control property taxes.

Try an insurance regulated state hit by hurricane, after hurricane, after hurricane. The industry doubles their rates to unaffected homeowners in order to "take from Peter to pay Paul (survive)" so they say. Real reform will probably see commercial insurance leave entirely, or become overly expensive, and reduced to self-insurance.

What other cuts? Do you mean eliminating fraud, and wasteful spending? I think you heard from the leftist media somewhere, that Trump and Musk were going to cut or eliminate our SS benefits, or you wouldn't have posted this thread about SS.

 Watch the video from the 9:00 minute mark to 13:00 minutes. Its explained what the media is using to try and scare people. Musk is basically saying the democrats have used SS to lure illegals into the country, and retain them for their voting base.

    Many "refugees" qualify for SSI, and knowing the Bidenites...they likely stretched the allowances even then.

  SSI comes out of our social security trust fund , but illegals can only collect for 7 years..long enough to break the fund, if the millions are
   allowed to stay.

  My SS went up. Remember seeing a few articles that headlines claimed there were going to be cuts, I figured more BS from the anti Trump media. I guess my only gripe, wish they loosened up on benefits for Medicaid. Go to my GP and what I hear, they'll pay for this test, but that test will be $1,500 out of pocket. Not sure if it's Medicaid, or the medical industry. I know if I pay $1,500, their getting it all. Medicaid and other insurance company's have a deal worked out and only pay 1/2 or so.

you may not like my opinion but i think if anything medicate is abused and most who get it shouldnt. to many lazy sobs that didnt work or didnt have the ambition to get a decent job get free medical. medicare is what 90 percent of them should get. even my learning disabled son who gets social security under my claim doesnt qualify for medicade because he gets more than the minimum and he only  gets half what i do. far as im concerned Medicaid should be stopped but that would cost republicans to many votes. dont understand why someone who didnt get a real job should pay nothing while someone who worked gets medicare and doesnt qualify for medicaid has to pay co pays and deductibles. its like being punished for having ambition. wife works in billing in the hospital and said theres many who make good money and hide it so they can get medicaid. she said youd be shocked at some in town, even business owners that are on medicaid and even get food stamp cards. some just have no pride. dont understand why tax payers should have to pay the deductibles they should be responsible for. if anything medicade should only kick in with things like terminal illness for old ladies and disabled people who cant work.

    Yes; probably too much of the medicaid money goes to pay for overdosing, alcoholism, gunshot wounds to drug dealers and crooks njured or
   shot while car jacking or otherwise robbing somebody..

Yes its the people that have worked all their lives that pay for medical care for those that don't work, never worked, or only work part time so they can qualify for government assistance. Its been said many times, that those that choose to better themselves financially by working, working two jobs, or working overtime, get punished by the system. By busting your butt , and bettering yourself you are going to pay more money in Federal, state, and local taxes, and that comes with paying people's way that choose to work the government system, and not wake up to an alarm clock.
