Can no longer logon to forum websites
« on: March 26, 2025, 04:25:29 PM »
Do any of you have trouble with the noted issue below?   I can no longer login at the noted websites due to this same error. I was thinking it might be the Guest Server in this Rehab Facility set to censure guns, shooting, casting, reloading, hunting, et al web sites, etc.

Webpage not availableThe webpage at https://www.go2gbo.com/forums/ could not be loaded because:
net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

Graybeard Outdoors, Firearms Talk Forums, Castboolits.gunloads: Ruger Forums, and Walther Forums refuse to load due to that same issue.

I have run Ccleaner, Avast Anti-viru, and Malwarebytes. No issues on phone or tablet.

I think you have it right that the server is set to block websites related to guns.

No, but for the past week or so every time I log onto this site only I'm met with a full screen ad that you have to close.

contribute some money so it can be add free again. i guess if your not willing youll have to live with it. matt was paying for this site out of his own pocket. this isnt just aimed at you. there is a bunch that need to find the donate button at the bottom of the page before matt throws his hands in the air and says F-it and just shuts it down for good. the free ride is over. donate or your just freeloading off others.

The error you're seeing—net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET—is a client-side error. That means your device, your local network, the facility's firewall, or your ISP is terminating the connection before it ever reaches the forum.

If the issue were on our end (the server), you'd get something like "Server Not Responding" or an HTTP 5xx error. In rare cases, you'd see ERR_CONNECTION_RESET_BY_PEER, which can be triggered by a misconfigured server, but that's not what's happening here.

If I had blocked the connection, you'd know it. You’d get a very specific denial. This isn't that.

Given that you’re in a rehab facility, it’s highly likely the guest WiFi has a content filter that blocks firearms-related websites. That would explain why you're seeing it across multiple gun forums.

You can try using a VPN (if allowed), or switch to mobile data if you're using a phone or tablet. Otherwise, there’s not much we can do from our side.

It was my side completely.  With Internet help, I fixed it. Reset All features in the phone and tablet through General Management, which dumped whatever was resetting the connection. All is normal now.
