Thanks Lloyd. Yes it has twin carbs, but is one single carb with barrels feeding both cylinders. I did do a compression test just to rule out a possible bad valve. That checked out okay. Both on the low side of compression, but both cylinders read the same pressure. I have the carb off, and took the bowls off. At the bottom of each bowl was this gummy yellow substance, which indicates the ethanol in the gas being mixed with some moisture. I was just going to attempt to clean the carb, but had my son order a kit for it, mainly for the rubber bowl seals and o-rings. Hope maybe one of the jets had a little of that gunk in it and was what was causing the problem. I'll find out when I get it back together. I remember rebuilding the carb on my old Suzuki, but this machine involved a lot of work to get the carb off.
