Pope Dead at 88
« on: April 20, 2025, 11:38:43 PM »
Sunday morning on Fox News the Catholic church rolled the pope out on a balcony and read his address to thousands.
I've listened for months about his battle with pneumonia (on Fox News) and that he was doing better.
Yesterday, he did not look better to me, he looked worn out. He couldn't even deliver his own speech but, they had him out there just the same.
Obviously it was too much, and last night he died.

I'm not catholic but, I liken this to Jill Biden continually pushing Joe out into the public, when he shoulda been home trying to enjoy whats left. There's a time in life (my opinion), when an old man (or woman), should be allowed to sit in his chair and rest. The world can, and will go on without them. But thats just my opinion also.

ill pray for God to forgive him for his liberal push that he imposed on my church and pray even harder that his replacement trys to push the catholic church back to its roots. but im not holding my breath. he managed to pack the cardinal list with hid liberal beliefs and we will probably get more of the same.

I just hope the news media doesn't spend 2 weeks on it. My quiet coffee time from 4am to 6am with the news is one of my few pleasures in life.

It appears that St Malachy, a 12th century, Irish Archbishop held in high regard among Catholics..predicted the line of popes (112 in number), ending with
  Francis.

Although there is disagreement on some his prognostications, in total he seems quite accurate.

Some look to a time of upheaval and trials for the Roman Catholic Church and possibly the world..  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrgZ-3e7b-4

...While others seem to see it as a revolution and a "return to fundamentals"for that church.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fizUHlL-iZ4

kind of comical on the news this morning theyre trying to put some relevance in that he spoke his last public words on easter and died the day after like he was waiting till easter was over. hes just a man and only God controls when a man dies and the pope has no more control over when then you do.

Not a Catholic, but from what he did when he was alive sure raised a few eyebrows and dissent from within the church. An Arch Bishop Vigano sure didn't like what was going on. Hope the next one works out better or them.

Well I'm certainly not a catholic but, Benedict was far more morally centered than Francis. From what little I've read, and listened to, Benedict got the Biden treatment from the Vatican as they wanted a more WOKE pope.
