hey guys i need a little info on a pistol i have a chance to purchase. it is a ERJECITO ARGENTINO model 1927. it has the argentine crest on right side of slide, all matching serial numbers in the 39,000 range. also has small laynard loop on bottom of grip. knurled trigger face and hammer. it is in excellent condition and very tight mechanically. are these guns any good? what are they worth? are they mil spec? any info would be appreciated.

Good as gold. Made under license from Colt, with Colt machinery, it's the real thing. Worth? $300???

hillbill: shorty is right. They are good as gold and priced inexpensively. But, once ya git your hands on one you won't want to get rid of it. I've had mine for (lessee, 2004 minus 1966 = ) 38 yrs??? and she is still sweet. HTH. Mikey.

I fully agree with Shorty & Mikey. It's a good, serviceable & accurate pistol. Had a few parts replaced on mine for personal preference: higher sights; commander hammer; & short trigger. But it shoots as well as almost any 1911 I've had- except for a high buck custom pistol.
