HuntingGuy,
The Rem Classic tops out at 3.6kg with Leupold mounts/rings and a 2.5X Compact, perfect for walking in our hills. Being lighter in weight than my BDL it does kick a little more but the lesser weight suits my needs. In both Rem's the first load I developed was using a 300gr RN infront of W760, 3 shot groups were MOA. Second load was a reduced one using AR2205 (H4227) and a 220gr FP. Shot MOA and to the same point of impact at 100m after a little fiddling! Everyone seems to be able to shoot MOA groups on these forums so lets just say that I'd be confident to put money on both Rems to shoot 1.5 MOA at 100m for 3 shot groups day in day out. I've done no custom work to the Classic other than fit a Decelerator pad and bed and float. Recoil in a 375H&H is really manageable, I believe anyone can shoot them well once used to them, and that's what reduced loads are for, lots of practice... My only beef regarding the Rems are the safety that doesn't lock the bolt and the blueing on the bolts wear off quickly. Otherwise great rifles that feed and shoot well out of the box.
