NEW SIGHTS ON BUFF CLASSIC
« on: March 29, 2004, 04:02:17 AM »
I put the new Williams sights offered by NEF on my Buff Classic and shot it on Sat. I was able to hit the 7 inch gong every time at 200 yds. WOW!!! what fun. I had people coming over to watch. I still have plenty of elevation left on the sight. That means I'll be trying 300 yds. next.

What load are you using?

I have a pic I can post of a Bison Target that I shot at 200 yards using a Buffalo Classic.

I use a 405gr. remington bullet. It acts much like a cast bullet . I shot one hog in thick cover. The bullet went through a 5 in. diameter tree and killed the hog. I purchase them in bulk .

Missed Shot,I use that same bullet in my 458 win mag, could never get it to shoot in my buff classic. Will try your load.Bought mine back in 2000 when they came without sights.Put on the same sight they come with now. What a blast this gun is to shoot.I use 300gr Rem bulk JHP in front of 51grs of H-322.You will do just as good at 300yds as you did at 200.I'am lucky to have a 300yd range on our farm,my shooting buddy and i can sit and ring a 10 inch gong all day long at 300yds*****ogo

M=S, I only shot 2 whitetail's with this gun, being a handloader I'am all ways interested in bullet preformence.I shot both at about 100yds,one through both sholders and the other through both  lungs. In the woods with leaves all over ,no chance to recover bullet. Both exi t wounds about the size of a soft ball.On the sholder shot it actualy rolled the medium sized buck up hill''''I never seam to be able to use the same gun, eather the buff classic T/C in 45/70 or a 7mag As for as the 458 mag, unless pa.  stocks cape bufflo i don't think i will be able to find that 405gr in a whitetail.I am going to give the wet phone books a try someday.
