Tactical Rifle guaranteed accuracy?
« on: March 29, 2004, 02:57:15 PM »
Hey All..

Was looking at some Tactical rifles on 'American Shooter', and it sparked an interest.  Is there a rifle out there that guarantees 1" accuracy at 200 yards or better?  Anything close to that?  I would be interested in taking a strong look at it, as it looked like something I would want.

I was looking at the M25 White Feather Tactical Rifle by Springfield, chambered in .308.

Thanks, HuntingGuy

Sure, there are lots of accuracy guarantees out there but they're mostly advertising hype. How can the factory know the owner is capable of shooting that well, or if he can load ammo that good? That said, it's no big trick to build a rifle that will shoot into a half minute regularly if you have good equipment. It just takes money, and there are quite a few gunsmiths who would be glad to build you such a rifle.

HuntingGuy,

There is only ONE company that has a WRITTEN ACCURACY GUARANTEE for their rifles.  Weatherby!!  Go to http://www.weatherby.com/rifles/lw_threat.shtml and check out their Threat Response Rifle.  The Weatherby TRR is used by a number of law enforcement agencies for the S.W.A.T. snipers.  You want a Tactical rifle with a guarantee, then you want Weatherby.  Lawdog
