« on: March 30, 2004, 06:21:13 PM »
I'm thinking of buying a Magnum Research BFR in .475 linebaugh. I've been lokking around the net and can't find any information on a mould for a .475 dia. bullet. Anybody have any Ideas.

Thanks

Ned,
Lee and RCBS both make .475 molds.  However, they do not take gaschecks.  If you want a gaschecked bullet you might try Mountain Molds.  I have not tried any of the Mountain Molds, but I have seen only positive comments on the web from those that have used them.  www.mountainmolds.com.  You can find the Lee and RCBS molds at Midway.

the molds are actually .476 lee has a real good one in there 400grain round flat which is actually an lfn and rcbs makes a real nice 400 swc you may have to go to Huntingtons.com and look under limited production molds to find it. Ballistic Cast makes many different molds and Mountain molds does too and the nice thing about mountian molds is for a real reasonable price you can design your own bullet.
