Greetings, all! I'm looking at a used ble Mini-14 my dealer has. It is a 186 series standard rifle(not a ranch) in good condition. It is NOT a pre-ban according to Rugers website. From the lack of wear on the reciever and bolt and the mint bore, I believe this rifle has seen very little use. The only bad place in the finish is on the barrel near the front site. This spot was allowed to surface rust, but I believe with a little TLC I can clean it up. The rifle comes with a quick detach scope mount and a Redfield 2x7 scope. Is this rifle worth $400? I'm figuring the scope and mount worth about $50 to $75, so the rifle would be about $325 to $350. How is this price?

Howd'y Holiday:
I own a SS Ranch Mini-14 and they are a great gun, not very accurate out of the box but with a little work and not alot of money they can be fairly accurate but not a tack driver.
From the desciption you gave it sounds like a very good deal as Mini's hold their value well.

I seen two of them in one of the most reasonable places I shop and were priced at $485, used but like new without any goodies.

That is one of the better prices I have heard of. Me I be back and put something down to hold it before someone else does. I really like my Mini 14. Got it just the way I want it and mine shoots MOA or better. Great companion to have in the truck when checking a persons property for marijuana growers. Also makes a great duty weapon too. Lawdog
