What makes a "Super 14" barrel, super?

I think all the "supers" have muzzle brakes. I think!!!!!

barrels. The "Super" in super 14 stands for the extra 4 inches of barrel an inovation at the time they were first introduced the longest barrel avaiable was a 10 incher. and standard length was still 8 3/4 inch at that time and the 10 inch bull barrels were reletively new at the time so a 14 incher bull barrel was just "Super" for hunters and handloaders and especually IHMSA'ers
