Does anyone know the ballistic coefficient for round balls? I am primarily looking for 32 and 50 caliber.

According to my old Lyman book, the BC for a .319 ball is .045, and the BC for a .495 ball is .070. If you want to compute the BC for a specific diameter ball, go to the "mathematical shooter" site. I'm sure they will have a formula....... Regards, DC

Also, there's different BC's for different ballistic tables.  My favorite is the William Frenchu Ballistic Ver 4.3.  It has five different drag tables, one of them being the British Round Ball Table.  The documentation contains the formula for figuring the BC for Brit Round table.

Most the tables I work with show a range of BC's for a RB projectile. With RB's especially BC is speed dependant.
