Ive been playing with aliant power pistol in the .45s and .44s for a little while now and yesterday i think i ran into a load thats a keeper I loaded 11 grains of power pistol and a fed std. primmer in the .44 mag with both the round and square lube grove 421429s the rcbs 245kt the lyman 250hp devestator and the lyman 225swcgc bullet and with three different .44s a 7 1/2 super blackhawk a 5 1/2 stainless bisley accusport and a 4 in 629 I went to town. The worse group of the whole day was under 2 inchs at 25 yards. The 245kt and the 225 lyman were at 1 inch in all three guns And im not one that brags on being a good shot. It probably would have been scary with someone at the controls that can really shoot. another nice discovery was that the super and the bisley were sighted in for 300lfns with 20 grains of wc820 and they shot allmost perfectly to the same poa. Looks like a 8lb keg is in order.

Any idea of your muzzle velocities with these loads.  Power Pistol looks to be a little faster burning than 2400 and I wouldn't expect top velocities for hunting applications.

Looks like you might have to settle for a 5 lb keg
