They are unable to reply to your post being their shoulders are too sore from shooting and have trouble typing!!! LOL
It is a neat caliber but I bet the recoil is pretty stiff-good luck with the new barrel!!!!!!! What length did you get and does it have a muzzle break on it??

Aww, it can't kick that bad. 300 gr @ 2200 seems pretty mild to me. Anyway, it is a 24" factory barrel, no brake. Sean

Mine got here Thursday. Yesterday I stopped by the local Gun Shop picked up a box of shells, ordered the Dies and looked at some scopes.

Grizzly,
How are you setting yours up? I've been thinking real hard about an Elite 3200 1.5-4.5x with the Firefly Reticle. Are you scoping yours? I also have been thinking about just putting a Williams Peep and a Fiber Optic front bead on it. Sean

Well, I have my barrel and some ammo. I haven't yet figured out what I am going to do for sights. And have not pulled the trigger yet. Sean

I bought both a 24 blued and a 24 inch stainless 405 win barrel from Cabela's.  The 24 inch blued will keep the iron sights but have an "Ironsighter" see though scope mount on it and a TC 3-9 x scope (I think).  I am planning on sending the stainless one to Mag-na-port for a 4 hole job and to be shortened to 16.5 inches, it is most likely that I will use this as a pistol barrel, I have not made an optics decision on it yet.

I own one T/C scope. The fixed 4x model. T/C optics are pretty poor even in their price range. That 4x loses shooting light an easy 15-20 min before any of my other scopes. Rethink and compare before you commit to a T/C scope. Sean
