I've hunted from a Viper the past two seasons. I've bowhunted and used the muzzleloader. You have to pay attention to the shooting rail when you bowhunt, but I've yet to encounter a problem. They're quiet, go on the tree easy and quick, have plenty of platform, very lightweight, pack through the woods well, and really grip the tree. I guess if there is a negative to talk about, sometimes they grip the tree too well. I think I would rather have this than the alternative though. I've never had it slip on me, even from an old shagbark that I've been know to hunt on occasion. Go with the Viper, you won't regret it.
