The aftermarket stocks I've seen advertised look good and there are a couple of different no-gunsmithing scope mounts available that work like a charm. Honestly, if your Smelly 4 shoots good now, get all that military hardware off, install a new Fiberforce (one brand) synthetic stock (and bed it), install a no-gunsmithing mount and she should shoot nice and accurately at 100 yds.
If you use factory ammo, you will get .311 diameter bullets, and they may open up your groups a bit. If you handload, you may find that the .312 bullets give you better accuracy. HTH. Mikey.
