Ramshot Magnum
« on: April 09, 2004, 04:48:53 PM »
Has anyone here used Ramshot Magnum powder for reloading?  I recently received a circular on their powder profiles and some loading information.  Their product is advertized as being clean burning and temperature insensitive, both of which are good in my opinion.  Also they are spherical for easy metering, also good.

I am speaking specifially of loading for a 7MM Remington Magnum.  I have used H4831 and H4831SC for 154 and 160 gr. bullets.  IMR 4350 for 100 and 139 gr.  Used H870 for 175 gr both Nosler Partition  and Speer Grand Slam.  Got a chronographed 2920 fps with the Grand Slam....78 gr H870, Fed 215 Mag primers and Remington nickel brass with 5 shot 1 7/8" groups at 100 yds.  My supply of H870 is running out and wonder if Ramshot Magnum would be a suitable replacement.
Thanks in advance for your replies...
Happy Trails!
