Tube mag and chamber issues, 44 - 40 (44WCF)

Ok, I have an 1892 Winchester, with a modern 1894 Barrel. I can chamber 44-40's with .430 bullets, but just barely Bullet must be seated absolutely square, or I'm squeezing the lever.
 
So, I gets me a nice Lyman 427 mould, and chambering is now a breeze, BUT, now I have the inability to get a good enough crimp with the standard Lee die, to hold up under tube mag pressure.
So, I have ordered a Lee Factory crimp die to I Hope Solve that issue.
 
 
Am I travelling a familiar road? Any help would be appreciated.

You are now on the true path o Great Warrior.  I'm just suprised that the .430's ever chambered at all.  Most chambers I've seen would not go for them.  If the problem persists even after the 42798, might need to get the RCBS 44-200 FN, it has a true crimp groove.  BOL. BH

I am a big 44-40 fan.I size my bullets .429 and cast from a magma 200 gr mould.the crimp groove is in the right spot.
brass can be a problem at .429.rem brass is just to thick.starline and winchester brass is what I use for cast and save the rem for jacketed rounds.when trying the cast bullets in rem brass they wouldn't chamber in my ruger vaquero or the departed win 94.

I am also a true believer that if loading for ANY straight case or one whose name ends in -40 or -20, the Factory Crimp Die ranks #2 behind bottled beer.
