Spring and bears
« on: April 11, 2004, 10:05:24 AM »
Don't know where everyone has been but spring seems to be here.  Almost 45 here in Valdez and the snow level is dropping fast today.  Next weekend is time to register bear bait stations and I am almost ready.  I don't know where the treesteps went so more are on order.  Heaven forbid I miss some hunting for that reason.

The new bow is Ok out to 20 yards now.  Enough for bears.  I will still have more work to do but it is flat shooting.  No need for a 10 yard pin at all. I am impressed with Bowtech, and quiet too.

Need to pick up the dog food this week and get it ready.

Dave,
I hear ya spring is here. Bears have been spotted up the Knik river and a fiend of my wife shot a brownie already near Mt. Susitna.

Its definitly time to get my gear ready. I'm heading to Tok for our annual bear hunt on the 5th of may. Cant wait.
