Little scope advise.....
« on: April 12, 2004, 05:00:27 PM »
Hey guys, I'm looking for a little advice here.  I'm looking for a couple of new scopes for a new 22-250 and 243 barrel that I have for my encore.  I was debating the weaver grand slam 3x9 for the 243, and a 4.5x14 nikon buckmaster for the 22-250.  Both barrels are stainless, so I want to stick with the stainless scope finish.  I'm wanting to stay around $250 per scope.  I have been reading alot of good stuff about the 3200's, but I just can't get over the fact that it's a bushnell.  If you guys have any experiences with the scopes I've mentioned, good or bad, I'd sure like to hear them.  Thanks.......

I think your Grand Slam would be a good purchase.  What's wrong with sticking with a Weaver for your 22-250.  For a little over $250.00 you can get a Weaver V-16...a GREAT scope for the money.  The V-16s are tough scopes with really good optics.

Dang that 25-06 did bruise this sissy up that one day.  However, the joke about that gun is still on you!   I would lean over the cubicle and tell you about the joke, but you would probably get mad and there is still 3 hours of work before going home time. :)
