Bushnell Banner
« on: April 14, 2004, 09:36:59 AM »
Does anyone have any feedback on a Bushnell Banner 4*32 scope with the circle-x cross hairs. I picked one up at a gun show for $40, brand new. I did see them for about $60 - $80 on the internet. It is really clear and focuses very easily and I really like the dark cross hairs. Anybody else have an opinion?

I think the Bushnell Banner is probably the most scope one could possibly get for the money. I like them much better than the scopechiefs(hate those amber lenses). Between me and the kids, on rifles & slug guns & muzzleloaders, we have 9 1.5X4.5 bushnell banners, and 2 in 3X9. I think the 1.5X4.5 banner is the finest close range whitetail scope made. Crystal clear, instant target acquisition even at very close range(like 10 yards) with the 1.5X setting, and a fine duplex recticle. The kids and I are very pleased with them, and I don't think you could find more scope for the money. I buy the 1.4X4.5 banners at www.midsouthshooters.com, for 63 dollars and change, kinda hard to beat, and we haven't had a single problem with one of them.  I love Leupolds(have 4 of them), but they are just too pricey with this many kids & guns. And I certainly don't feel disadvantaged going into the woods with a Banner, or we wouldn't be using them. Just my personal thoughts and opinions.

Bushnell Banner Scopes

I have 2 of the 3x9x40 Bushnell banner "Dusk til Dawn " scopes , one on the .243 ( my son's gun) , and one on my .270.   We are both convinced that after looking through the Simmons, and the other mid range scopes we tried, Banner is definitely the best bang for the buck.  In fact, I like my Banner so much, that even if I won the lottery, I'd buy an Elite as an upgrade...but would not stray from Bushnell.  They are indeed crystal clear, steady, and true.  Durability in the brush country of Texas has us both convinced.  As I cleaned my knife after my son and I field dressed his 8 point buck this past deer season....I asked him if there was anything better than this.......his smile gave me the answer I will keep with me until I am old and gray.....Bushnell scopes helped in that memory , as far as I am concerned.

I have a Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 on my H&R Huntsman 50 cal Muzzleloader...I like it...The reticles are just what I like in a reticle and it is bright enough for my uses.  It has worked for about a year now without a blink...
