It Can Be Done
« on: April 19, 2004, 10:55:02 PM »
The Sunshine Classic in Jacksonville, Fl was this last weekend and shooters were treated to a novel shoot off between Master Class Competitors. "Chickens at 75m"  on Sat to settle a tie and then chickens set on thier tail so the bottom of the foot was facing the shooters at 75m on Sun. Many prizes were handed out including a Briley rifle, Kowa spotting scope, Pentax binoculars, SOG knives, Spiderco knives, Wolf ammo, Edgemaker sharpeners, and the list goes on. Chuck Deason put on a great match and we had ideal weather conditions both days. Rbump

I for one had a great time. It was a different feel than any of the other "Big Matches" I have been to. I liked the format of the prizes being given away as "door prizes" only as it does get old seeing the same people win the rifles, scopes, etc. Chuck D. gave a ton of time and effort to make this match happen, and the facility is top knotch!

PS> I was the turd that lost the shoot off at turkeys Friday night. Hey, hitting one as the clock had 2 seconds left to stay in it was as much as I could ask for. Now why was an "A" shooter shooting off against those 2 guys at the turkey line... Hell you have to get that explination from McLamore..HAha.

A good time had by all! I also came home 1 set of animals richer from the door prizes!

It was my first trip to the Sunshine Classic. I had a hell of a good time. Damn those southern boys like to drink.  Chuck Deason put on a great match.  George in Ark... Mark and I thank you for being late on that Turkey on Friday night...hehehe. And you know why you where on the shoot offs...the same reason Mark and the other guy where there....I had a great time shooting with everyone there even if I only shot mediocre and drove  14 hrs to do it. Hope to be there next year too.

Chuck did a great job, it was a good time. I did shoot well but i learned about single malt Scotch. We did not drink all that much, i still have most of that Crown Royal to help me get over it. Did you notice how many places went to females and teenagers. We need to outlaw them, Its bad enough when the old guys out shoot me. It was a great time thanks to all.
