coydoghunter1,

Let me Welcome you to Graybeard Outdoors.  The best forum on the net for hunters/shooters going to today.  Also let me Welcome you to the New World of the WSSM.  I too shoot a Winchester M70 Coyote .223 WSSM.  Very accurate, hard hitting and real easy on cases.  Due to the case of the WSSM being a little thicker than others they tend to stretch less thus need less trimming.  As for a coyotes reaction to getting hit by the .223 WSSM, so far the coyotes I have shot with mine have died very suddenly.  Watch the lighter bullet weights through as they hide destruction is bad if you are saving hides.  Keep us(especially me) informed on your progress with your new WSSM.  Small groups and tight lines to you.  Lawdog

This really seems to be a good fourm lots of info on all kinds of subjects.I have not taken up reloading yet but I am thinking hard about it.I shoot mostly 22 centrfire but also shoot a 243 Win,I know what you meen about those light little pills. They sure will tear the hide up when you hit bone, but I like to put the yote down as quick as I can.Coyote hunting makes me a very humble man, just when I think I have ole Mr Yote on the ropes I get busted and it's back to the old drawing board, humilty it keeps me in check and you sure can't fool all the dogs all the time. Thanks again Lawdog for the welcome.Coydoghunter1  :D

coydoghunter1,

If you plan on getting into reloading give me a PM or drop me a note here and I can give you a head start on some load information on the .223 WSSM(at this point in time there is not a whole lot of information available for WSSM cartridges).  This cartridge really comes into it's own when reloaded.  I think you will like this forum, great bunch of guys here.  Lots of good information too.  This is one place where even when we disagree we manage to stay civil and respect each other.  If you have a question on whatever subject on your mind just find the right forum and ask away.  You will get an answer, most likely more than one.  Take care and small groups to you.  Lawdog
