Shooting Low with my Beretta 96FS
« on: April 21, 2004, 02:39:01 PM »
I have a problem of shooting about 8-12 inches low at 15 yards with my pistol.  It is pretty consistant.  Is there any way that i can solve this problem and make it so that i am closer to the 10 spot or do i pretty much have to get an aftermarket rear sight in order to lower the rear sight?  This is pretty annoying and makes for a lot of guess work when aiming.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Have you tried more than one brand/bullet weight of ammo. Most fixed site guns are regulated with a specific grain bullet. I shoot mostly 180 grainers out of my 96. If you are shooting lighter bullets that may be why they are shooting low.
Just another worthless opinion!!

I have just purchased a beretta 92fs inox and it does exactly the same thing for me. I have been shooting the winchester 115 grain ammo. If you figure it out please post you  findings.
thanks
